  • UK’s 54 first-half point was the most since scoring 60 in the first frame against Florida A&M in the first round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats won that game 96-76.
  • This was the 12 th time that UK has scored at least 100 points in an NCAA Tournament game and the first time the Wildcats hit the century mark in the tourney since a 101-70 win over Utah in 1996.
  • UK’s 15 three-pointers are one shy of the school record for an NCAA Tournament game (16 vs. Wake Forest in 1993).
  • UK’s 27 assists is the third-most for the Wildcats in an NCAA Tournament game and the most since 33 vs. Mount St. Mary’s in 1995.
  • UK’s 11 blocked shots are the second-most for the Wildcats in an NCAA Tournament game. The UK record is 14 vs. UCLA in 1998.

Team game notes

  • The Wildcats used the starting combination of Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, Darius Miller, Patrick Patterson and John Wall for the 26 th time this season. Kentucky is 24-2 with that starting five.
  • Darnell Dodson and Daniel Orton were the first subs off the bench for Kentucky.
  • Kentucky’s first basket of the game was a three-pointer by Darius Miller, extended UK’s streak of games with a three-pointer to 746 games, the third longest streak in the country.
  • Trailing 10-9, Kentucky went on an 18-2 run to open up a 27-12 lead in the first half.
  • UK led 54-26 at the half, its largest halftime lead since leading LSU 42-14 on Feb. 6.

  • Had 17 points and a game-high 11 assists. It is his fifth double-double of the season and third in points and assists.

  • Extended his UK freshman season scoring record to 575 points.

  • Blocked two shots and moved to fifth on UK’s all-time blocks list with 158.

#24 Eric Bledsoe

  • Set career highs with 29 points and eight three-pointers, also tying a career-best with four steals.
  • 29 points is the most for a UK player this season.
  • His eight three-pointers broke UK’s record for an NCAA Tournament game. The old record was seven by Tony Delk vs. Syracuse in the 1996 championship game.
  • Shot 88.9 percent from three-point range (8 of 9). That’s the second-best three-point percentage for a UK player in an NCAA Tournament game (min. five attempts), trailing only Jamal Mashburn’s perfect 5-of-5 vs. Wake Forest in 1993.
  • His third straight game to knock down multiple three-pointers and ninth this season.
  • Scored in double-digits in the first half (15 tonight) for only the third time this season.
  • Averaging 18.5 points in UK’s four postseason games.
