Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky is 6-4 overall, 2-4 in the Southeastern Conference. Vanderbilt is 2-9 overall, 0-7 in league play.
• Kentucky leads the series, 40-38-4. UK has won one in a row. The visiting team has won the last three games in this series.
• The win marks the fourth consecutive season that Kentucky has won six or more games.

UK Team Notes

• Kentucky gained a season-high 308 yards rushing in the game, the most since UK gained 355 rushing yards vs. Indiana in 2004.
• UK’s 308 rushing yards is the most against an SEC opponent since rushing for 310 at South Carolina in 1995.
• Kentucky had 399 total offensive yards, the most against an SEC opponent (non-overtime game) since rolling up 512 total yards vs. Florida in 2007.
• UK held Vanderbilt to 13 points, the fewest against an SEC opponent since the 14-13 win at Mississippi State in 2008.
• UK held Vanderbilt to 11 first downs, the fewest against an SEC opponent since limiting South Carolina to nine first downs in 1999.
• The Wildcat defense held Vanderbilt to 82 yards rushing, the second time this season UK has held an opponent under 100 yards rushing in the game.
• Kentucky held Vanderbilt to 209 yards total offense, the best showing since UK limited VU to 91 total yards in 1996.
• In the second half, Vanderbilt was limited to one first down, 31 total offensive yards, 0-of-5 on third downs and held the ball only 6:56 time of possession.
• Kentucky’s kickoff team did an excellent job today. Kickoff man Craig McIntosh had three touchbacks (second game in a row for that) and VU’s highly dangerous kickoff returner Warren Norman returned two kickoffs for just 38 yards. VU’s best field position after a kickoff was its own 28-yard line.

UK Individual Notes

• Randall Cobb opened the scoring with an 18-yard touchdown run. He has scored a touchdown in each of the last six games he has played. Cobb did not play last Saturday against Eastern Kentucky because of an injury.
• Cobb also scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter. It is the fourth time this season he has scored at least two touchdowns in one game.
• Cobb finished the game 99 yards on the ground on 14 carries, scoring twice.
• Derrick Locke carried the ball 25 times for 144 yards, both career highs.
• It is Locke’s third 100-yard game of the season.
• Locke moved past Bobby Cravens, Mike Fanuzzi and Al Baker into 15th place on the UK career rushing list. Locke now has 1,565 rushing yards as a Wildcat.
• Locke threw a 41-yard pass to quarterback Morgan Newton in the first quarter to move down to the VU 21-yard line. Cobb scored on the next play.
• Lones Seiber moved into seventh place in SEC history for extra points made in a career. Seiber has made (150) extra points as a Wildcat.
• John Conner broke the Kentucky career record for games played with 51. Tim Masthay also played in 50 games from 2005-08.
• Punter Ryan Tydlacka had the best game of his career, averaging 45.2 yards per punt on five punts.
• With two receptions, freshman La’Rod King matched a career high with 41 receiving yards attained last time out against EKU.
• Calvin Harrison’s interception in the second quarter was his third of the season and fourth of his career.
• Sam Maxwell led the defense with nine tackles, including one for a loss, and forced a VU fumble – the second of his career.
