Former Kentucky men?s basketball player Marvin Stone passed away Tuesday after halftime of a game in Saudi Arabia.

Stone, who was playing professionally for the Saudi Arabian team Ittihad, died of an apparent heart attack. He was 26.

The Huntsville, Ala., native lettered for Kentucky in the 2000 and 2001 seasons before transferring to Louisville midway through his junior year. He finished his career at UK averaging 5.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Stone was a McDonald’s All-American at Grissom High in Huntsville, where he was selected Mr. Basketball in 1999.
