LEXINGTON ? After extending its win streak to six over the weekend with a pair of wins over ranked foes, the Kentucky women?s tennis team jumped six spots to No. 17 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, released Tuesday.

The Wildcats are off to their best start in the last 20 years and have opened Southeastern Conference play 4-0 for the second time in three seasons. The other, 2005, UK won the conference championship.

Last Friday, Kentucky knocked off No. 32 LSU 4-3 after sophomore Jessica Guiggioli rallied from a set down to score the clinching point. Two days later, UK dropped Arkansas easily, 4-1.

The Wildcats take a break from conference play this weekend as they travel to Hawaii where they face the Warriors on Friday afternoon.
