LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Ramel Bradley had a career-high 23 points, scoring six of Kentucky’s season-high 13 3-pointers, as the Wildcats defeated Chattanooga 79-63 Tuesday night in their annual game at Freedom Hall.

It was an outside shooting fest for both sides as the two teams combined for 72 points off 3s. Chattanooga’s Keddric Mays led the way with 25 points and seven 3-pointers, one shy of a career-high.

With nobody in the Mocs’ starting lineup taller than 6-foot-7, Kentucky coach Tubby Smith decided to go small too – giving freshman guard Derrick Jasper his first start.

Jasper and Bradley split the point guard duties, and while Jasper came up with 10 rebounds, Bradley quickly rediscovered his outside shot.

He nailed six of nine 3-point tries, breaking his career-high of five 3s, which he set last month against Mississippi Valley State.

Joe Crawford also made four 3-pointers among his season-high 19 points, and Bobby Perry had 17 points and was 3-for-3 from long range. Randolph Morris also added 17.

Jasper had one point and six assists to go along with his rebounds, but he also made some freshman mistakes. He drew a technical foul when he nudged a Mocs player and bumped into Morris when the Kentucky center was coming down with a rebound, turning the ball over to the Mocs.

The Wildcats, who never trailed, took a 7-point lead before the Mocs pulled to 19-18 midway through the first half on a dunk by Casey Long.
