LEXINGTON ? The 14th-ranked Kentucky soccer team gets back on the road Wednesday when it travels to Tulsa for a critical Conference USA battle.

The Wildcats (10-4-2, 3-2-1 C-USA) are currently in fourth place in the league standings with 10 points (three points per win, one per tie) while the Golden Hurricane are one spot ahead with 12 points. With a victory, UK would move into a tie with South Carolina for second in the league with one game to play. Kentucky holds the tiebreaker over USC by virtue of its 1-0 win over the Gamecocks earlier this year.

However, a win will be no easy task against a quality Tulsa team that has won four of its last five outings. The Golden Hurricane has scored four goals in each of its last two contests.

Kentucky is coming off a big victory over FIU that was delivered on Riley O?Neill?s double-overtime golden goal. The game was the third straight that went extra time for the Wildcats.

Wednesday marks UK?s fifth game away from home in an eight-game span. The road hasn?t been friendly to the Wildcats as the team is just 0-3-1 on its opponents field during the stretch.

Last year, Kentucky scored its biggest win of the season over a 25th-ranked Tulsa squad. Michael D?Agostino scored early and O?Neill put the game away with a goal midway through the second half before Tulsa scored late in a 2-1 victory.
