LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Rekalin Sims had 22 points and 11 rebounds Wednesday night to lead No. 9 Kentucky to an 85-63 exhibition victory over Georgetown (Ky.) College.

Sims scored 14 points in the first half, including nine of the Wildcats’ first 16.

Joe Crawford added 15 points and Shagari Alleyne 12 for Kentucky.

Brian Silverhorn scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures for Georgetown. Craig Schoen scored 15, Mark Surgalski 13 and Orlandus Hill 10.

The Wildcats were 31-of-54 (54 percent) from the field and 14-of-18 (78 percent) from the free throw line.

Georgetown, ranked No. 5 in the preseason NAIA poll, forced six lead changes in the first nine minutes and held a 24-20 lead with 9:30 remaining in the first half. Kentucky outscored the Tigers 22-4 the rest of the half, including 11 straight points over the final seven minutes for a 42-28 halftime lead.

The Tigers pulled to 66-56 with 8:45 left but couldn’t get any closer.
