LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky men?s soccer team returns to action when it takes on No. 28 Michigan on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Wildcats are 3-1-1 after a 4-0 home win over Georgetown College on Wednesday in which four different players scored. Meanwhile, the Wolverines dropped their first decision of the year on Friday, 2-1 to Oakland, to fall to 4-1 on the year.

?Michigan is a tough opponent, especially on the road,? Kentucky head coach Ian Collins said. ?They have quality players and I have great respect for their program.?

In Wednesday?s victory, freshman Masumi Turnbull (Richmond, British Columbia/McMath) broke opened the floodgates for Kentucky in the 36th minute. Playing in his first career game, he had entered just three minutes before and scored the goal on his first touch.

In the second half, UK pounded home goals from senior Thomas Senecal (Bethesda, Md./The Maret School), sophomore Michael Strong (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) and Bingy Lara.(Las Cruces, N.M./Las Cruces) for the final margin.

Lara?s goal was the first of his career and he added his first career assist. Junior Riley O?Neill (Campbell River, British Columbia/Tiberline) assisted on both Strong and Lara?s goal.

?I thought we really played well in the second half against Georgetown,? Collins said. ?We were able to create a lot of chances and did some nice things.?

It is just the second time the two teams have met with then 13th-ranked Michigan scoring a 1-0 overtime victory last season. In that contest, UK dominated throughout and had a tremendous chance to win in overtime, but All-American Jamal Shteiwi shot just wide. A minute later, the Wolverines found the net for the win. The loss snapped Kentucky?s school-record 10-game home unbeaten streak.

?Last year I felt like we had the better of the game and probably deserved a different result,? Collins said. ?But sometimes that?s the way it goes in soccer. I think our players remember that game though and will be looking to make up for it.?
