Kentucky strong safety Muhammad Abdullah has been named to the preseason watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Award, given annually to the nation?s best defensive player.

Abdullah was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference choice in 2003 and 2004, totaling 122 tackles, seven interceptions, seven pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries during those two seasons. He is a senior from Folkston, Ga.

The award is sponsored by the Charlotte (N. C.) Touchdown Club and is voted by the Football Writers Association of America.

Huffman Featured on ?Aaron?s Football Saturdays?: Kentucky cornerback Antoine Huffman will be featured this week on ?Aaron?s Football Saturdays in the South,? a five-part mini-series that presents a weekly behind-the-scenes look at coaches and players throughout Southern football history.

Each Aaron?s Football Saturdays in the South episode covers a different southern college football theme including: ?Coaches,? ?Community service,? ?Media,? ?Stars of the Past,? and ?Stars of Today.? Show segments will include in depth, personal interviews with individuals such as Steve Spurrier, Woody Durham, Shaun Alexander and Urban Meyer. Huffman, a member of the 2004 National Good Works Team, will be featured on this week?s ?Community Service? show.

The series, hosted by Tim Brando, with reporters Mike Hogewood, Dave Baker and Jenn Hildreth, will be available on 65 affiliates around the southeast, from July 23 through August 20, 2005.
