LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky gymnastics team held its annual end of the year banquet Sunday night. The coaching staff honored gymnasts in seven categories.

Senior co-captain Michelle Gales received the team?s most prestigious honor, Most Valuable Team Member. The Atlanta, Ga., native also received an award for the highest team average on floor.

Freshman Crissy Cannon took home a team-high three honors. She received the team?s Hardest Worker award, GPA Award Club for earning a 4.0 and was honored for the team?s highest beam average.

The Comeback Player of the Year award was given to sophomore Krystle Cook. Cook injured her ankle during the first seconds of her floor routine at the SEC Championship and two weeks later performed for the Cats at the NCAA Central Region Championship on bars. The Austin, Texas native also received the highest team vault average award.

The 3-D award, named for one?s dedication, determination and desire to succeed, was presented to sophomore Rachel Riley. Riley also took home an award for the team?s highest all-around and bars average.

Sarai Sevier was awarded Most Improved Player, while Kara Prestigiacomo, Kristen Kaufman, and Lindsay Cameron joined Cannon in the GPA Award 4.0 Club.
