Coming off of a tough weekend in Southeastern Conference play, the Kentucky volleyball team hopes to get back on the winning track Tuesday night when it hosts No. 23 Louisville in Memorial Coliseum. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
The Wildcats (12-13, 3-11 Southeastern Conference) were swept in by No. 8 Florida and Georgia on the road this past weekend. In the loss to the Bulldogs on Sunday, UK was led by junior Danielle Wallace, who had 15 kills on .500 hitting. Alex Montefalco added 14 kills, while Sarah Spinner had 14 kills on .344 hitting. Jenni Casper led the digs category with 11, while Kristen Cunningham added five blocks and Leigh Marcum had 49 assists.
The Cats lead the all-time series with the Cardinals 23-21, but Louisville has won the last six matches between the two teams, including a 3-1 victory last season in the Derby City.
The Cards (22-2) are coming off of a 3-0 sweep of Conference-USA foe Charlotte on Saturday. Lena Ustymenko had 14 kills, two aces and 10 digs to lead U of L in the win.
