Kentucky junior Danielle Petrisko and sophomore Christine Simpson advanced to the second round of the doubles competition with an opening-round victory at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Petrisko and Simpson defeated North Carolina-Charlotte?s Ofra Friedman and Kathy Robey by an 8-5 count. They meet N.C. State?s Barbara Orlay and Danielle Stadelmann in Friday?s second round.
