TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 26 University of Kentucky men’s golf team travels to Tampa, Fla., to participate in the Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate which takes place Monday and Tuesday. The three-round tournament will feature 15 teams including, No. 1 Florida, No. 5 Georgia Tech and No. 7 Texas Christian

Kentucky tied for second place with Arkansas in last year’s weather shortened two-round tournament, finishing three strokes behind the winner, Florida. UK won its first tournament of the season, the Cleveland Golf/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, finished sixth in the Mason Rudolph Championships and placed third in the Franklin Street Trust Invitational.

The Cats are led by a strong junior class that includes 2002 All-American John Holmes. The Campbellsville, Ky., native has three individual top-10 finishes including a second place finish at the Cleveland Golf/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate.
