The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team opens its fall season Friday at the Moore Invitational at UK’s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. Five other teams come to Lexington for three days of individual competition in three separate flights.

The tournament consists of the “ranked”, “A” and “B” flights, and Kentucky’s Jesse Witten figures to headline the “ranked” bracket. The junior from Naples, Fla. enters fall tournament play with a No. 9 ranking from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Close behind is No. 10 Catalin Gard from Ole Miss, the other SEC team in the field. Eastern Kentucky, Indianapolis, Morehead State and South Florida comprise the rest of the tournament field.

Tournament play begins Friday at 9 a.m., resumes Saturday at 9 a.m. and concludes Sunday with a start time of 10 a.m. Admission is free for all matches.
