It’s UK’s first 3-0 start since 1998 and only the second since 1984. Next week when the Wildcats battle Middle Tennessee, UK will have an opportunity to start 4-0 for the first time since 1984. That year, the Cats began with a 5-0 record.

With his spectacular 55-yard run at the end of the third quarter, Pinner became the 28th Wildcat to top 1,000 yards rushing in his career.

It was his fifth 100-yard rushing game of his career and his second of the season. His 141 yards was a career high.

His 92 yards receiving is a career high.

Pinner has now scored in all three games this season.

CB Earven Flowers recorded the first interception of his career in the first quarter.

TE Jeremiah Drobney made his first career start.

FS Quentus Cumby tallied the first interception of his career, and returned it 82 yards for a touchdown with 2:46 remaining in the game and UK leading by four. The last time a Wildcat returned an interception for a TD was Matt Layow (6 yards) vs. Florida, Sept. 26, 1998.

With one turnover to IU’s three, the Wildcats marked the third straight game with a positive TO ratio. UK entered the weekend 15th in the nation in TO ratio.
