Format For Blue/White Game: The Kentucky football coaches held a draft on Thursday to select the teams for the Blue/White Spring Football Game, which will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.
“The coaches alternated picks in order to balance the teams as equally as possible,” Coach Guy Morriss said. “We want to create a game-type atmosphere for two reasons: I think the fans will like it and it gives the coaches another good look at our young players.
“We hope to have some fun and hope we don’t get anybody hurt.”
For the sixth consecutive year, the first quarter of the game will be comprised of touch football by the UK Alumni. When the alumni leave the field, there will be a five-minute kicking period by the varsity in order to give some work to the special teams.
