UK had a season-low six turnovers. Tennessee had 18 miscues.

UK won the bench points 26-2, points off turnovers 15-4, and points in the paint 28-14.

Junior F-C Jules Camara had career highs with 17 points, eight FGM, and 13 FGA.

Freshmen Rashaad Carruth (26 minutes) and Chuck Hayes (31) had season highs for playing time.

Sophomore guard Cliff Hawkins had an excellent all-around game with 11 points on five-of-eight shooting, three assists, four steals, and no turnovers. Hawkins put the Wildcats ahead for good, 60-59, with a free throw at 1:26 on the clock. Hawkins also scored UK’s next basket for a 62-59 lead.

Senior forward Tayshaun Prince scored 15 points, giving him 1,639 in his career and moving him past Ed Davender for ninth place on the UK career scoring list.

Tennessee’s Vincent Yarbrough led all scorers with 27 points. Yarbrough tied a Rupp Arena opponent record with seven three-pointers, tying Chris Jackson, D. A. Layne, and Joe Crispin.
