The University of Kentucky baseball coaches will host their annual Wildcat Baseball Camp at the Nutter Fieldhouse on Thursday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 28. The 2001 camp features expert instruction from the UK coaching staff, players and former players now in professional baseball.

The UK Wildcat Winter Camp is highlighted by individual instruction in hitting mechanics, fielding, pitching mechanics and mound work, throwing, base running, mental preparation and conditioning. Offered to campers from age nine to 18, the Wildcat Baseball Camp features three sessions:

Session 1: Pitchers/CatchersThursday, Dec. 27     9 a.m. to 11 a.m.Friday, Dec. 28       9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Session 2: Hitting CampThursday, Dec. 27 Noon to 3 p.m.Friday, Dec. 28 Noon to 3 p.m.

Session 3: FieldingThursday, Dec. 27 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The $8.5 million Nutter Field House, which was dedicated in a ceremony in 1993, covers more than 132,000 square feet and is located adjacent to the south end zone of Commonwealth Stadium. The facility offers two full infields, four extra-long batting cages, regulation pitching mounds and a live batting practice field.
