Kentucky is now 7-2 on the season. Indiana is now 6-4.

Kentucky leads the series 24-21 and has won two in a row against the Hoosiers. The Wildcats lead 5-3 in games played in the RCA Dome. Today’s 66-52 win marks the largest victory margin by either team in the eight games played in this facility.

Kentucky held Indiana to 52 points, the fewest UK has allowed Indiana since a 66-51 Wildcat victory on Dec. 6, 1976. The Wildcats allowed only 20 points in the second half as Indiana shot 28 percent from the field (7-25) in the second stanza.

UK limited Indiana to 52 points, 18 field goals made, 32.1 field goal shooting percentage, three three-pointers made, and 17.6 three-point shooting percentage, all of which are season lows by a UK opponent.

Coach Tubby Smith is now 18-3 (.857) at Kentucky in games played in domes.

Kentucky went ahead for good, 15-14, at the 10:11 mark in the first half on a layup by Marquis Estill.

Key run: ahead 21-19, UK went on a 19-6 surge for a 40-25 lead. The Hoosiers got no closer than eight points the rest of the way.

UK outrebounded Indiana by seven, 43-36. UK came into the game leading the nation in rebounding margin with a +13.6 mark.

Senior forward Tayshaun Prince had 17 points and 11 rebounds, notching his third double-double of the season and 10th of his career. Prince moved into 20th place on the UK career scoring list with 1,380 points. Prince passed Mike Phillips, who had 1,367 points.

Sophomore guard Cliff Hawkins had a career-high point total in the second consecutive game. Hawkins had 15 points Tuesday vs. Duke and followed with 17 today vs. Indiana. Hawkins tied career highs with six field goals made, two three-pointers made, and 31 minutes played.

Freshman guard Adam Chiles made the first three-pointer of his career.
