Jermaine White Returns: Jermaine White, who had announced his intentionto give up his final season of eligibility, has changed his mind and has been allowed toreturn to the team.

White played wide receiver for the Wildcats in 1997-98. He caught eightpasses for 132 yards during those two seasons, including a 57-yard TD againstLouisville and a 46-yard TD catch vs. Eastern Kentucky in 1998. White, whocombines 6-6 size with great leaping ability, also blocked a field goal in the ’98 win atLouisiana State.

White redshirted in 1999. He moved to defense during the 2000 season butsaw little action and decided not to play his final season of eligibility at UK.

“I am graduating in May and I thought I would transfer to a I-AA school for mylast year,” White said. “But it was a lot like high school when I started lookingaround, I realized that the best place for me is Kentucky.”

White has joined the team workouts and will play wide receiver. He willgraduate in May with a degree in business management and begin graduate study inthe fall.
