CINCINNATI, Ohio–The University of Kentucky rifle team beat Xavier inboth air rifle and small-bore competitions on Saturday. UK’s Blue Teamfinished with a score of 4592 points in small-bore, and the White Teamfinished with 4579 points. Xavier had 4527 points.

In air rifle, the Blue Team finished with 1534 points, and Xavier had 1528.The White Team finished with 1509 points.

UK’s Mary Elsass won the individual competitions with scores of 1160 insmall-bore and 391 in air rifle. Matt Newburn came in second with 1159points in small-bore and 390 in air rifle.

UK’s next action comes in the Withrow Invitational on January 31.
