KILLEN, Ala. — The University of Kentucky men’s golf team stands in 12th place at the Southeastern Conference Championships after posting a two-round score of 618 through Saturday at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. The Wildcats are 54 strokes behind leader Georgia.
Sophomore John Beckett leads the Cats going into Sunday’s final round with a two-round total 8-over-par 152. Other UK scores include junior Wes Furnish who shot an even-par 72 on Saturday, bringing his two-day total to 155. Freshman Andy Dustman tallied a two-round total of 157, while Ron Layman finished today’s action just behind Dustman with a 158, tying junior Pat Kelly.
Action wraps up on Sunday with an 8 a.m. tee time.
