LEXINGTON, Ky. — Research indicates that Kentucky running backAnthony White is one of only five running backs in SoutheasternConference history who generated 1,000 yards from the line of scrimmage(rushing yards plus receiving yards) for three consecutive seasons.
The list of SEC players who have accomplished this feat, inorder of year accomplished, include Herschel Walker of Georgia(1980-82), Emmitt Smith of Florida (1987-89), Errict Rhett of Florida(1990-93), Kevin Faulk of Louisiana State (1996-98), and White(1997-99).
Arkansas and South Carolina each have one player who hasaccomplished this feat — UA’s Ben Cowins (1976-78) and USC’s GeorgeRogers (1978-80) — but both were achieved before those schools joinedthe league in 1992.
