AUSTIN, Texas – After winning their opening matches at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships in Austin, Texas, the University of Kentucky’s Carlos Drada and Gustav Pousette lost in the singles round of 32 on Tuesday.

Drada, a junior, outlasted Pepperdine’s Chase Exon, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, on Monday to advance. But SMU’s Jon Wallmark defeated Drada, 6-2, 6-2. Pousette, a freshman, won in straight sets over UCSB’s Simon Shen, 6-2, 6-4, in his first match of the tournament. Pousette came back from a set down against New Mexico’s Pepe Caballero, but was eventually defeated 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
