The University of Kentucky track and field team will be represented by four athletes in the NCAA Championships June 2-5 in Boise, Idaho.

UK junior Matt Kavanagh and sophomores Shevan Threats, Ola Sesay and Jeff Ellis will participate individually in the championship, which begins on Wednesday and runs through Saturday, June 5.

Kavanagh will participate in the Mens Hammer Throw on Saturday at noon, while Ellis will compete in the 400-Meter Hurdles on Wednesday evening. In womens competition, Sesay will compete in the womens long jump on Wednesday evening, while Threats will see action in the triple jump competition on Friday afternoon.

The 1999 NCAA Championships are hosted by Boise State University. This years competition marks the 78th NCAA championship for the men and the 18th NCAA championship for the women.
