PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – University of Kentucky women’s tennis player Massoumeh Emami scored two upsets on Tuesday to advance to the final qualification round at the All-American Tennis Championships. In first round action, Emami upset 33rd-ranked Kristi Dascoly of Ohio State, 6-4, 6-1. In her second match of the day, Emami ousted 60th-ranked Lenka Janubekova of South Alabama, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.
With the wins, Emami advances to Wednesday’s finals, where she will face 58th-ranked Shannon Duffy of Northwestern.
