New Orleans-The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team defeated Tulane 7-2 Sunday.

In singles action, Kentucky blanked the Green Wave 6-0 in straight sets. UK’s junior Kelly Brown defeated Tulane’s Jeanie Legator 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. Brown teamed up with junior Massoumeh Emami to upset Tulane’s No. 1 doubles duo, Steph Michael and Mika Anami, 8-3.

The Wildcats (8-4, 3-4) defeated LSU 6-3 on Saturday to win their third Southeastern Conference match of the season. They will play next at Tennessee on Wednesday, March 18.
