Kentucky Softball Hosting “Big Blue Boo” on SEC Network+
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team will have one of its fall softball games broadcasted live on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app for the first time in program history, it was announced Monday.
Kentucky Softball will host the inaugural “Big Blue Boo” Halloween celebration on Oct. 29 vs. Tennessee at John Cropp Stadium with the seven-inning game broadcasted on SEC Network+.
Additionally, the game on Oct. 29 will feature several fan experience components, including a “Tent or Treat”, inflatables, pumpkin decorating and much more. Fans are encouraged to try on their Halloween consumes early and wear them to the game while participating in the fan zone activities throughout the night. Fans are reminded that Halloween costume masks are not allowed due to safety concerns unless they are for a medical purpose when organizing costumes.
The game against the Tennessee Lady Vols, whom UK does not play in its Southeastern Conference schedule during this year’s rotation, will begin at 6 p.m. ET.
Big Blue Boo will also take on a community aspect, as the Wildcats and Lady Vols are looking to scare off hunger by donating canned goods to God’s Pantry that will be collected as fans enter the stadium.
The second leg of the UK/UT fall home-and-home is Saturday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. ET in Knoxville, Tennessee at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
