Kentucky Volleyball to Drop 2020 National Title Banner on Sept. 3
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Volleyball team will be unfurling its 2020 national championship banner on Friday, Sept. 3 inside Memorial Coliseum prior to its match vs. Northern Iowa at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Tickets for the match can be purchased through the UK Ticket Office. Fans are encouraged to visit UKathletics.com/tickets for more information.
In conjunction with the most recently-issued university guidelines, all patrons will be required to wear a mask in indoor spaces except if they are medically exempt or are actively eating or drinking. This is regardless of vaccination status.
The banner drop will take place before the match begins at 7:30 p.m. ET, so fans are encouraged to arrive early and be in their seats by 7:20 p.m. ET to ensure they get the best chance to see the unveiling.
Kentucky went 24-1 in 2020-21 and swept through the NCAA Tournament with wins over UNLV, Western Kentucky, Purdue, Washington and Texas to claim the first national title in Southeastern Conference history. The unveiling of the banner will show its permanent spot inside Memorial Coliseum to commemorate its place in history.
The UK vs. UNI match is part of the Bluegrass Battle, which Kentucky will be hosting Sept. 3 and 4 in Memorial Coliseum. Ticket information is available at UKathletics.com.
