Javianne Oliver and Team USA Qualify for Olympic 4x100M Relay Finals
TOKYO — University of Kentucky track and field alumna Javianne Oliver was a part of the Team USA 4×100-meter relay that qualified for Olympic finals in the seventh day of athletics track & field competition.
The relay placed second in their heat and second overall with a time of 41.90 with Oliver as the leadoff leg.
This is Oliver’s second race of Tokyo 2020 after making it to semifinals in the 100m dash with a time of 11.08.
During track & field competition at the Olympics, the Wildcats have amassed three medals. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn won gold in the 100m hurdles while Sydney McLaughlin earned gold with a new world record in the 400m hurdles. Keni Harrison finished the 100m hurdles with a silver.
Current Kentucky track student-athlete Megan Moss ran in the 4x400m relay for The Bahamas, but the relay team did not finish.
Javianne Oliver and Team USA will run in the 4x100m relay final on Friday, August 6 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
