Meet the Wildcats: Katie Carlisle
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, UKathletics.com presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features sophomore Katie Carlisle.
Katie Carlisle, a sophomore from Newark, Ohio, enters 2016 after competing in all 12 meets for UK as a freshman. Katie competed in bars and floor in every meet and on balance beam in the last eight contests in 2015. She had a career-best 9.825 on uneven bars in the regular-season finale, and earned a 9.825 on floor vs. Florida. In her career debut on balance beam on February 6th, she scored a 9.825. Katie was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll last season.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at a time still to be determined. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
