LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Kentucky women’s golf team’s return to the course in late January for the all-important spring season, UKathletics.com will be featuring a profile on each of the Wildcats in the “Meet the Wildcats” series. The weekly series is an opportunity to get to know a little more about the 2015-16 Kentucky women’s golf team.
The series continues this week with freshman Anna Hack.
Hack made her Kentucky debut at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Knoxville, Tenn., where she tied for 75th place. She fired a career-best 73 in the third round at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Oct. 11 and produced a career-low 54-hole score of 238 the next week at the Landfall Tradition.
She’s competed in three of the four fall events for the Wildcats this season.
In high school, Hack won the 2012 Kentucky High School Athletic Association individual state championship with rounds of 68 and 74. She was a five-time Kentucky All-State honoree and finished in the in the top three times in the KHSAA state championship. All told, she posted 73 top-five finishes in statewide, national and Junior PGA Tour events during her junior career.
