Excite Night at Rupp Arena Sold Out
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky gymnastics program has announced that Excite Night presented by Bluegrass Orthopedics at Rupp Arena is officially sold out.
UK will take on Southeast Missouri, Ball State and George Washington in an opening night quad meet. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. inside of Rupp Arena. The UK Ticket Office will be open at 5:30 p.m. at the Rupp Arena Box Office, located off of High Street, for fans to pick up pre-purchased tickets.
A very limited number of general admission seats have been reserved for those with a UK student ID, UK faculty/staff ID, Junior Wildcat Club membership card or Wildcat Sports Pass. These groups are encouraged to arrive early and to show their valid ID at the doors to ensure seating in the general admission areas, while space permits.
Tickets to each of Kentucky’s four other home, regular season meets in Memorial Coliseum are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. Single-meet ticket prices start at $5 each. Fans can still purchase tickets for all four remaining meets at Memorial Coliseum with a four-meet season ticket package, starting at $15. To purchase, visit UKathletics.com/tickets. Kentucky heads into the season ranked No. 10 in the nation in the NAGCA/W preseason poll. UK is coming off an historic season. UK recorded the highest Regional Qualifying Score in program history of 196.845, which was the highest in school history, and helped UK become a two seed in an NCAA Regional for the first time in school history. Kentucky set a program high when it beat Alabama for the first time in school history with a 197.475. The Wildcats had two All-Americans last season – Alex Hyland and Mollie Korth – and Korth also won the SEC Freshman of the Year award. Korth was the sixth SEC Freshman of the Year award winner for UK.
Three Wildcats – Korth, Hyland and Sidney Dukes – were All-SEC for their performance in the first session of the SEC Championships. Korth earned All-SEC for her first session all-around win with a 39.425. Hyland earned All-SEC with the SEC beam title while Dukes finished second in the first session on the beam with a 9.9 in the first session.
