Big Blue Madness Tickets Sold Out
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Even with reduced available camping space this year due to on-campus campus construction, Kentucky fans demonstrated their unwavering and unmatched passion for Kentucky basketball by snatching up all tickets for Big Blue Madness in the first 40 minutes of availability Friday night.
Fans were able to pick up tickets Friday night at UK’s Memorial Coliseum ticket office and claim them online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets were available to the public starting at 10 p.m.
To support regular campus operations and facilitate student pedestrian routes to and from class – which have been affected due to surrounding campus construction – space was limited this year to fans who wanted to line up ahead of time. Fans who camped out were also limited to a maximum of two tickets per control card.
None of those factors discouraged the Big Blue Nation.
More than a thousand fans – and 295 tents to be exact – still camped out on the Memorial Coliseum/Joe Craft Center grounds over the last three days to get in line for tickets. Others obtained their tickets online via Ticketmaster.com.
UK Athletics strongly encourages fans to neither buy nor sell their Big Blue Madness tickets. Additionally, ticket holders should be aware of the potential risks of posting pictures of their tickets, specifically the barcode, on the internet in any way. For more information about ticket security, visit UKathletics.com/TicketSecurity. All patrons require a ticket to Big Blue Madness, regardless of age.
Big Blue Madness, which will feature introductions of both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, practice drills, videos, and more, is Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in Rupp Arena. It will be televised on the SEC Network.
This will be the 13th time Madness has been held in Rupp Arena.
