Creslyn Brose, Delaynee Rodriguez Advance to NCAA Gymnastics Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Creslyn Brose and Delaynee Rodriguez have advanced to the 2026 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships as Individual Event Specialists (IES), the organization announced Monday. The Wildcat duo will compete on Thursday, April 16 at Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth, Texas with the opportunity to vie for individual national championships on their respective events.

Brose will compete on the floor exercise and Rodriguez will compete on the balance beam. Both gymnasts qualified for the national meet as the highest scoring individual on their respective events from non-advancing teams at the 2026 NCAA Lexington Regional last week. Brose will be making her second consecutive appearance as an IES on floor at the NCAA Championships, while Rodriguez will be making her Nationals debut.

Both Wildcats will compete during Session II of the National Semifinals on Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2. While the competition will be semifinals for the purposes of the team competition, the results from both Semifinal sessions will be combined to determine all individual champions.

Brose, a junior from Holly Springs, N.C., won an NCAA Regional floor championship for the second consecutive season, scoring a 9.925 at the Lexington Regional last week. After claiming the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional Floor title, Brose scored 9.900 on floor in her Nationals debut to finish in a tie for 15th.

Brose finished the regular season with a National Qualifying Score of 9.935 on floor, good enough for 11th in the NCAA and her third consecutive WCGA Regular Season Second Team All-American honor. The junior scored at least 9.900 on the floor in every meet this season and scored a season-high 9.950 four times. After six wins on the event in 2026, Brose holds 12 career event titles—all on the floor—and has scored at least a 9.900 in 33 of 36 career floor routines.

Rodriguez, a junior from Las Vegas, qualified for her first career NCAA Championships appearance after scoring a 9.900 on beam at last week’s Lexington Regional. Rodriguez finished the meet in third place, only behind gymnasts from Arkansas and Oklahoma who qualified to nationals via advancing teams.

This season, Rodriguez has anchored the Kentucky beam rotation in every meet, finishing the year with an NQS of 9.915, good enough for 20th in the NCAA. Rodriguez scored at least 9.900 in eight meets this season, including the last six of the year. Against Florida, Rodriguez posted a career-high score of 9.950 on the event, earning a perfect 10.0 from one of two judges.

Earlier this season, Rodriguez became an All-American for the first time in her career after a sensational season in the All-Around. Rodriguez ranked inside the all-around top ten every week this season, finishing at No. 10 with a 39.520 NQS. She is the 14th Wildcat in program history to earn an All-America nod and the sixth Kentucky gymnast to do so in the all-around, joining Jenny Hansen, Mollie Korth, Alex Hyland, Raena Worley, and Jillian Procasky.

Kentucky has been represented at every NCAA Championships since 2014. Kentucky has had multiple gymnasts at the NCAA Championships in every season since 2016, qualifying two Individual Event Specialists in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, three in 2022, and advancing as a team in 2018 and 2023.
