Delaynee Rodriguez Garners CSC Academic All-America Status
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Rising senior Delaynee Rodriguez was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Team, the organization announced Tuesday. The Las Vegas native earned a spot on the Second Team with a 4.0 GPA in Integrated Strategic Communications and a top ten ranking in the all-around during the 2026 season.
The CSC Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Team features 45 student-athletes across a First Team, Second Team, and Third Team. Designed for sports that do not feature their own CSC Academic All-America Team, the Women’s At-Large program features nominations from the following sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo, and wrestling.
To be nominated, gymnasts must hold a 3.50 GPA and rank in the top 75 on any event in the Road to Nationals Standings or individually qualify to the NCAA National Championships. Rodriguez ranked in the top 75 in all five categories, including No. 10 in the all-around, No. 20 on balance beam, and No. 33 on the uneven bars. Rodriguez also qualified for the NCAA National Championships as an individual event specialist on the balance beam, placing 17th with a score of 9.8875.
Rodriguez enjoyed a career year in 2026, setting career-highs on all four events and the all-around, earning her first All-SEC and All-America honors, and advancing to Nationals for the first time in her collegiate career. Rodriguez posted career-high marks of 9.950 on bars, beam, and floor this season in addition to a lifetime best score of 9.925 on vault. Rodriguez also featured a National Qualifying Score of 9.900 or higher on three events with a 9.915 on beam, 9.905 on bars, and 9.900 on floor. Rodriguez’s all-around NQS of 39.520—led by a career-high 39.650 performance at Auburn—helped the junior earn WCGA Regular Season Second Team All-America status.
In 2026, Rodriguez won 16 event titles across all four events and the all-around, bringing her career total to 20. Rodriguez won the all-around seven times in ten regular season meets and also took home four victories on the uneven bars, two each on the balance beam and floor exercise, and one on vault. The All-American also led the team in scoring last season and posted a team-leading routine in 24 rotations in 2026.
Rodriguez was named the Inside Gymnastics Gymnast of the Week on February 11 after a career performance at Auburn, winning three event titles, posting a career-high 39.650 in the all-around, and leading the Cats to an upset win on the road. The performance cemented Rodriguez as the fourth-highest scoring gymnast in the all-around at Kentucky, only ranking behind Wildcat legends of the likes of Jenny Hansen, Raena Worley, and Mollie Korth.
Rodriguez has been the model of consistency during her time in Lexington, competing in every meet during her first three seasons. In 2026, Rodriguez was only one of two athletes in the SEC to compete the all-around during every meet. Anchoring bars and beam for the Cats, Rodriguez has scored at least a 9.8 in 129/149 career routines and has scored over 39 points in 28 of 31 career all-arounds.
In addition to her first career CSC Academic All-America honor, Rodriguez has earned SEC Academic Honor Roll distinction in each of her first three seasons and has also featured as a WCGA Scholastic All-American.
Rodriguez is one of seven gymnasts on the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Team, with Sarah Moraw of Minnesota and Anna Roberts of Stanford on the First Team, Riley McCusker of Florida joining Rodriguez on the Second Team, and Kayla DiCello of Florida, Maggie Slife of Air Force, and Aurelie Tran of Iowa on the Third Team.
