ATLANTA – The men’s swimming and diving team finished 18th in the country at the 2026 NCAA Championship while earning All-American performances, three top eight finishes, and two program records, and marking the highest finish since 2010. The Wildcats wrap up the successful season full of gratitude and hope to build the good thing that they have going as of late.
Senior Levi Sandidge led all Wildcats in scoring in his fourth NCAA appearance for the blue and white. With his third place 1650 free finish earlier in the week and a new shattered program record, Sandidge is without a doubt one of the most decorated men’s swimmers that the university has ever seen.
There is a bright future ahead for Kentucky however, as seven of the nine participants this year were first timers. Except for Sandidge and junior Carson Hick who have been to multiple NCAA Championships in their collegiate careers, all of the other new NCAA Wildcats will continue to build from this experience both in and out of the pool.
This marks the end of the NCAA season for the swimming and diving team. They now look to continue to rebuild, strive to disrupt, and continue their success next year after a historic week in Atlanta.
