LEXINGTON, Ky. – It was another day of Zones for the diving Wildcats, which brought yet another qualifier for the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship by junior Kristy Pfaff. With a 583.30 score, Pfaff punched her ticket to the 3-meter dive event at the NCAA Women’s Championship next week, her first ever NCAA appearance.
This afternoon in the preliminary round of the women’s 3-meter dive Pfaff dove for 298.75, which was good for a top 18 placement, moving her to the finals. In the finals, she dove for 284.55, for a combined score of 583.30. Finishing finals in ninth place, Pfaff qualified for NCAAs, as the top 10 of that event for women make their way to Atlanta next week.
Alongside Pfaff was junior Devynn Bishop and freshman Zalika Methula, who both made the 3-meter final as well. Bishop finished the final in 18th with a score of 530.25, while the newcomer Methula dove for a 13th place score of 567.50.
Pfaff now joins sophomore Avery Giese as the representatives for the Wildcats women’s squad in Atlanta. The women’s divers continue to dominate as they head into the last day of competition on Wednesday, where they will join the men in the platform diving event.
