No. 18 Kentucky Hits Road Again, Travels to Evansville

No. 18 Kentucky continues its early season road tests this weekend when it travels to Evansville for a three-game series.

Friday’s opener begins at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT and will stream on ESPN+. Expected inclement weather has forced a Saturday doubleheader that will begin at 1 p.m. ET/noon CT. It will be the second time in as many weeks the Wildcats (3-1) will play a Saturday DH.

The Cats swept through UNC Greensboro on opening weekend in impressive fashion behind near perfect starting pitching and an offense that batted .346 as a team and stole 23 bases in as many attempts. But UK stumbled in its home opener vs. Morehead State on Tuesday night.

Evansville reached the NCAA Super Regional round two seasons ago but struggled in 2025. It went 0-3 on opening weekend.

SCHEDULE CHANGE
Kentucky and Evansville will play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. ET/noon local. The final game of the three-game set will begin Saturday approx. 45 minutes following the conclusion of the 1 p.m. first pitch. Both games Saturday will be nine innings.

Friday’s season opener will remain at 4 p.m. ET.

All three games will have live stats available at UKathletics.com. Friday’s game will stream on ESPN+.
