Oregon Beats Kentucky, 9-0
SATAROGA, Calif. – The No. 15 Oregon Ducks beat Kentucky, 9-0 in five innings on Saturday afternoon. The game was Kentucky’s final of its 11-day road trip along the California coastline to begin the 2026 season, as UK closes the trip with a 6-4 record.
Kentucky had a tough day both in the circle and at the plate as the Wildcats managed just one hit against the Ducks, as Allie Blum had a fourth-inning single through the left side to register the only UK base hit of the day. In the circle, freshman Hailey Nutter was the first of four pitchers to appear in the game as Oregon scored nine runs in five innings, with eight of the nine earned with Sarah Haendiges, McKenzie Oslanzi and Abby Hammond also seeing time in the circle.
UK will next play Wednesday afternoon at Murray State before continuing southwest to Memphis for a five-game weekend in the Blues City to compete in a tournament hosted by the Memphis Tigers.

Allie Blum advanced twice on the day with UK’s only hit of the afternoon, and reaching on an error in the bottom of the first inning before being left in scoring position.
Key Moment
A two-run single in the top of the third inning made the score 5-0 in favor of the Ducks and broke the seal of the game.
Key Stat
- Oregon pitcher Taryn Spencer had 10 strikeouts in the game, the most strikeouts in a single game for an opposing UK pitcher this season. It was also the first time Kentucky was shutout this year.
