UKTF Travels to Indianapolis for Crossroads of America Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a week off last week, The Kentucky Wildcats are set to return to the track tomorrow for a two-day meet in Indianapolis, Ind. at the Crossroads of American Invitational on Jan. 23-24.

The Wildcats kicked off the 2026 calendar year in impressive fashion, totaling 14 event wins at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational, highlighted by Emmi Scales winning the Women’s 60m hurdles event with the nation’s No. 1 time this season (7.99), and the fourth-best time in Wildcats’ program history.

In Louisville, freshman Vanice Kerubo Nyagisera and junior Patrick Faust, for the second consecutive meet, broke the Kentucky school record in the women’s and men’s 600m events, respectively. In the men’s triple jump, senior Theo Mudzengerere broke his career-best mark in the men’s triple jump with a 16.39m/53-09.25 final distance, the second-best mark in program history, a record set by Luke Brown just last season.

Kentucky is sending 59 total athletes to Indy to compete in 26 separate events across the two-day meet.

This weekend’s meet in Indianapolis will feature as Kentucky’s third meet out of six for the 2025-26 regular season. Looking ahead, the Cats will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 30-31, followed by a dual-meet weekend on Feb. 13-14 at the Tiger Paw Invite in Clemson, S.C. and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Ma. prior to the start of postseason competition.

This weekend, the Wildcats be competing against familiar opponents, including Belmont, Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue and Western Kentucky.

Day one of the 2026 Crossroads of America Invitational are schedule to begin at 12:15 p.m. ET on Friday, kicking off with Meagan Ewers, Gwyn Lori, Kate Powers and Addison Stadsholt competing in the women’s weight throw event for the Wildcats.
