Wildcats next host No. 2 Indiana.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 18, 1998) — The University of Kentucky fell 2-1 to Belmont inovertime on Sunday.

UK struck early, as Ilkka Jantti found the net in the eighth minute to give UKa 1-0 lead. Belmont would rally, however, as Chris Van Atta evened thescore in the 75th minute. The game headed to overtime and Jason Taylor’sshot in the 95th minute gave Belmont the win. With the loss, UK falls to 7-7,3-1 MAC, while Belmont improves to 4-8.

The Cats return to action on Wednesday, when No. 2 Indiana travels to theUK Soccer Complex to battle the Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
