The University of Kentucky mens golf team stands in 10th place at the 2000Wolverine North Invitational after posting a two-round total of 598 followingSaturdays action at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich.The Wildcats are 24 strokes behind leader Minnesota.
Senior Wes Furnish posted another strong performance with a 2-under par 70in Saturdays second round, moving him into a tie for seventh place with atwo-round total of 1-over par 143.
Minnesotas Wilhelm Schauman led all golfers with a two-round total of 8-underpar 134.
Other UK scores include senior Pat Kelly and junior John Beckett, who are tiedfor 42nd place with scores of 9-over par 151. Sophomore Andy Dustman is tiedfor 49th place with a score of 153. Freshman Matt Wells rounds out the UKscorers with a 158.
Action continues tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
