2025 Southeastern Conference Softball Schedule Announced
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday afternoon the 2025 SEC softball schedule, which is set to kick off March 7-9. The 2025 schedule format remains largely unchanged from prior seasons, as teams will play eight conference series over a nine-week period with all 15 teams receiving a bye weekend somewhere in the season.
Kentucky’s SEC schedule begins on SEC opening weekend as it plays host to the Missouri Tigers at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington. The series against Missouri marks the first weekend of four home SEC series as Kentucky will also host Ole Miss, Auburn and Mississippi State in the Bluegrass this season.
UK’s opening road series is the second weekend of SEC play as the Wildcats will travel to the Bayou to play the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from March 14-16. Kentucky will also make road trips to three other SEC destinations this season, including Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas.
In order, Kentucky will face Missouri (March 7-9), at LSU (March 14-16), Ole Miss (March 21-23), at Arkansas (March 28-30), Auburn (April 4-6), at South Carolina (April 19-21 [Sat/Sun/Mon]), Mississippi State (April 25-27) and closing the season at Texas (May 1-3).
The 2025 Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament will be held May 6-10 at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Georgia, and will be hosted by the Georgia Bulldogs. The tournament format will be five days of competition with each round being single-elimination. The top four seeds will receive a double-bye into Thursday’s quarterfinal round the teams slotted fifth through eighth receiving a single bye into the second round on Wednesday.

The SEC and its partners at ESPN and the SEC Network have selected the Kentucky vs. South Carolina series April 19-21 to be its SEC Series of the Week, where it will have a Saturday/Sunday/Monday cadence rather than the traditional Friday/Saturday/Sunday flow.
