Men’s Soccer Names Dustin Smith as Director of Operations
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer has added Dustin Smith to its staff as director of operations ahead of the 2024 fall match slate.
With over a decade of experience in administration, management, and leadership, Smith brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills to bolster the Wildcats’ operational excellence.
In previous roles, Smith coordinated staff and office logistics, provided timely communications support, and translated complex data into actionable insights. Furthermore, he excelled in cultivating lasting client relationships and developing creative, objective-driven campaigns.
In addition to his professional background, Smith applied his organizational expertise and passion for soccer in the Northern Kentucky region from 2013-2023. He served in positions for Grant County Youth Soccer as Director of Coaching, Vice President, and Director-at-Large – where he spearheaded initiatives in player development, coach education, and community involvement. Smith was also the Grant County High School Boys Soccer Coach, leading the program through four successful seasons. He holds a U.S. Soccer National D Coaching License and a United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Diploma.
A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Smith began his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before relocating and graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University.
