Hall Named to Lombardi Award Watch List: Senior offensive tackle Antonio Hall is one of 39 players named to the preseason watch list for the 34th annual Rotary Lombardi Award, which goes to the nation’s top lineman, linebacker, or tight end.

The candidates earned a place on the preseason watch list by being named All-America in 2002 or chosen to the all-conference team selected by the league’s head coaches.

Hall was the cornerstone of the 2002 offensive line that helped Kentucky score 32.1 points per game, which ranked second in the Southeastern Conference. He blocked for the SEC’s leading rusher, Artose Pinner. Stationed at right tackle, he has served as the blindside protector for left-handed quarterback Jared Lorenzen. Hall had 74 knockdown blocks last season, including a season-high 14 against Louisiana State. He was named honorable mention All-America by CNNSI.com, first-team All-SEC by the league coaches and Birmingham News, and second-team All-SEC by The Associated Press. Also highly dedicated to community service, Hall was one of only 11 Division I-A players selected to the AFCA National Good Works Team.

Hall is the second Wildcat named to a preseason national award watch list. Center Nick Seitze has been tabbed as a player to watch for the Dave Rimington Trophy, which goes to the nation’s top player at his position.
