Kentucky Softball Home Game Promotions Announced
LEXINGTON, Ky. – With the 2024 Kentucky Softball home season less than a month away, the team announced its 2024 home promotional schedule Monday afternoon highlighted by several popular recurring promotions and several UK Softball centralized giveaways to take place at John Cropp Stadium this season.
Kentucky opens its 2024 home slate March 6 against Bellarmine as one of several Music Midweeks, as the music played will be a centralized theme with that game’s being Rock and Roll. Other Music Midweeks throughout the season include Boy Bands (Marshall), Pop Punk (Dayton) and Taylor Swift (NKU) which will also feature a Taylor Swift themed Wildcats Tour concession cup.
The John Cropp Classic is Bowling Crossover Weekend where fans can participate in softball BINGO during every UK game to win prizes. There will be a UK glove giveaway to the first 300 fans at UK’s first game of the day vs. Columbia on March 16 with a prize pack given away on March 17 as fans are encouraged to wear green for St. Patrick’s Day.
Returning for 2024 are UK Softball birthday parties, group admission prices and youth team experiences. Face Painters, BINGO, Balloon Artists, Giveaways, Enter to Wins and Kid’s Run the Bases are sprinkled in throughout the season, all returning from a record-breaking 2023 home season of attendance.
Each Southeastern Conference series will have a theme with promotions and giveaways that run along the theme of the weekend. The SEC series kicks off vs. LSU from March 8-10 for Women’s Empowerment Weekend at John Cropp Stadium. The Saturday, March 9 game will feature a pink UK Softball beanie giveaway to the first 300 fans through the gates to JCS for the game.
Kentucky hosts Alabama from March 28-30 with a keychain giveaway to the first 500 fans through the gates Friday, March 29 alongside a balloon artist on the concourse. The game March 30 will have an air fryer giveaway in addition to an egg hunt after the game is over with candy and UK Softball themed prizes. Additionally, all games of the series will be the Bark in the Park weekend where friendly dogs are allowed into JCS with a leash and will be seated in the outfield.
Youth Team Weekend will be April 12-14 as Kentucky faces SEC favorites, Georgia in Lexington. Youth teams are encouraged to attend all weekend! Email WeAreUK@uky.edu to sign up for the youth team experience. Saturday, April 13 is the SEC’s All for Alex day, with teams wearing teal to support the fight against ovarian cancer. Saturday will also be Junior Wildcat Club Day featuring a free Scratch Squishmallow to the first 250 kids in attendance. Fans can join the Junior Wildcat Club today at UKAthletics.com/JWC.
Senior Weekend closes out the 2024 John Cropp Stadium calendar April 26-28 against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Per tradition, Senior Day will be Saturday, April 27 as UK will honor its graduating seniors 15 minutes prior to first pitch. There will also be a jersey shirt giveaway to the first 500 fans in attendance.
Single-game tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, Feb. 19.
