Caudill, Seitze to Play in the Blue-Gray Game

Wildcat fans who want to watch some football on Christmas Day can catch UK senior defensive lineman Jeremy Caudill and senior center Nick Seitze in the 2003 Blue-Gray All-Star Game on Dec. 25 in Troy, Ala.

The game will be played at the Troy State University stadium at 3 p.m. EST and will be televised live by ESPN2. Caudill will wear uniform No. 99 for the South team and Seitze will wear No. 75 for the South squad.

Caudill made 55 tackles for the Wildcats during the 2003 season and had 4.5 quarterback sacks, tying for the team lead in that category. He totaled 9.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup, and eight quarterback hurries. His best game came against Ohio when he made five tackles, recovered a fumble, broke up a pass, and turned back the Bobcats on fourth-and-goal at the Kentucky one-yard line.

Seitze finished his career with 30 consecutive starts at center and was on the 2003 preseason watch list for the Dave Rimington Award for the top center in the nation. His blocking helped the Wildcats average 27.3 points per game, the second-highest average ever for a coaching staff in its first season at Kentucky.

Including this year, Kentucky players and coaches have appeared in the Blue-Gray Game a total of 59 times. The first Wildcat in the Blue-Gray was Luke Lindon in 1939 and the most recent was Kio Sanford in 1997.

Coaches and Players Home for the Holidays: The Kentucky coaches and players are home for the holidays. Coaches may return to off-campus recruiting on Jan. 9. The players return for the spring semester, which begins Jan. 14.
