Six members of the Kentucky men?s tennis team improved to a collective 12-0 in tournament play Saturday afternoon on day two of the Charles Fluitt Invitational at UK?s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex.
Seniors Matt Emery and Jesse Witten, sophomores Matt Allinder and Jason Mallaiah and freshmen Nolan Polley and Marcus Sundh collected two victories apiece in their respective flights Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Nate Emge?s run at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships ended Saturday, one day after his upset of Auburn?s Gabor Zoltan Pelva, the ITA?s sixth-ranked student-athlete. Emge sustained a 6-3, 6-1 defeat at the hands of Jose Muguruza of Georgia Tech.
The Charles Fluitt Invitational concludes Sunday afternoon at the Boone Tennis Complex.
