Kentucky Baseball to Face Michigan in Fall Exhibition
Kentucky’s first time back on the diamond against outside competition will come this Sunday in the first of two NCAA-sanctioned fall exhibition games this month when it faces Michigan at Prasco Park.
The ballpark, situated in Mason, Ohio on the northern edges of Cincinnati, also hosted the Wildcats last fall versus Xavier. First pitch is at noon ET. Broadcast coverage of the event is currently unscheduled.
Kentucky baseball will play a pair of exhibition games this fall as it prepares to build upon last season’s Super Regional appearance. NCAA rules allow for schools to play two games against outside competition during the fall. UK hosts Morehead State on Sunday, October 29 at Kentucky Proud Park. Times and additional details will be finalized and released at a later date.
The Cats are entering their eighth season under head coach Nick Mingione and have won 216 games during his tenure, including last spring’s 40-win season that ended in the Super Regional at eventual national champion LSU. It was just the second NCAA Regional championship in program history.
